This also wouldn't be the first time an Exotic weapon bug has been discovered in the game. However, if this is indeed a bug, it could disrupt endgame activities like Grandmaster Nightfalls or Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2, which would eventually lead to players being frustrated.
Although, user Ze_Awesome_Hobo commented that this might not be a bug at all as players were reportedly capable of doing this in Destiny 1 as well where "you used to be able to damage or kill other players in PvE by loading into a new zone." If true, then this might not even been on Bungie's list of problems to fix considering it has been around since the previous game and will most likely not be a big issue. The community found it hilarious that the weapon could kill fellow Guardians in non-PvP settings as well. However, when they switched their focus to a neighboring Guardian who was interacting with the vendor, the weapon’s sustained fire ended up killing them. In the video, they appeared to be at the Nimbus vendor location on Neomuna where they fired the weapon at a random Guardian in their vicinity which triggered the Woven Mail perk.
